BASIC SERVICES
SouthTowne offers specialized care available for:
- All stages of Alzheimer's disease and other
forms of dementia.
- Management of complex resident conditions
like wandering, irregular sleep patterns, fall risk, incontinence, dietary restrictions/ needs, along with numerous other challenging behavior conditions, through a supportive, professional, highly trained medical and direct care staff team.
- Peace of mind knowing that your loved one is receiving the kind of care they need and have earned after providing their service to our world throughout their lives.
SERVICES AVAILABLE TO ALL OF OUR RESIDENTS
-
24 hour
professional staffing.
-
Registered Nurse
on Staff.
-
Geriatric Nurse
Practitioner available to assess,
prescribe medication and other orders just
like a doctor, treat and follow your loved
one's care. This generally
alleviates the need
to go through the challenge of making it to
the doctor's office and back. We
all know how difficult visits away from the
"home" can be and we're so proud to be able
to provide this service for no extra charge.
-
SAME PRICE EVERY
MONTH, PERIOD! No hidden fees, no
price increases that can occur monthly in
facilities promoting POINT OR LEVEL SYSTEMS
that can INCREASE RATES EVERY MONTH!
-
Acceptance of
Private Pay and Medicaid Funding.
Unfortunately, care for those who have
Alzheimer's disease and other forms of
dementia must be very expensive due to the
significant resources required for quality
care. Thankfully, if personal funds do run
out, which can occur, your loved one DOES
NOT have to leave their home here.
Depletion of funds
does not mean depletion of care here at
Southtowne. We're proud of this
because we feel it's the right thing to do.
-
Home-cooked meals
by Imo, the wonder cook. Management of most
physician-ordered special diets. Eating
assistance is also available as needed.
-
A beautiful, secure
and fully accessible park-like courtyard
for those of us who just need to get outside
and breathe without restraint while
remaining safe and secure.
-
Housekeeping as
many times a day as is needed.
Don't we all wish we had this service
available to us in our homes?
-
Ability to help
residents age in place right here at home.
Hospice care is provided when needed,
enabling your loved one to pass on with
dignity, comfort and peace around people who
know and love them.
-
Individualized care
plans and assistance. We're
all different and so are our approaches for
each of our residents.
-
80 scheduled hours,
two full-time Activity Directors a week,
keeping things upbeat and meaningful each
and every day. Sing-a-longs, exercise,
sensory therapies, baking, arts and crafts,
and activities to keep people busy like
folding clothing, sanding wood or putting
pipes together are just a few of the
activities we enjoy here at Southtowne.
Robin, our Activity Director, has been at it
for over 13 years and she's yet to create a
boring uneventful day.
-
Effective
experienced management of wandering, high
fall risk, and all other behaviors
associated with Alzheimer's/dementia care.
